Running an organization this size becomes difficult when all of the funds you receive go to goods or services. If you are in the mood to help out by donating to the operations side of the organization we would love your help! Currently we all personally dish out the money for paper, stamps, envelopes, etc.
If you would like to make an operations donation just make us aware so we can set it aside.
We are currently undergoing 2 projects to raise operational funds.
1. RECIPE COLLECTION!
Do you have a recipe that your friends rave over? Do you have your Great Grammys Appalachian cook book with some hidden gems? What about a fun family favorite?
Currently we are collecting recipes to create an Appalachian and Grandmas Gifts supporter cookbook. We plan to use this cook book as a fundraiser for business items such as stamps, envelopes, paper, etc.
If you have recipes you would like to contribute you can mail them or send them via email to (Email: Emily.Douglas@ GrandmasGifts.org and write recipe in the subject line!)
Make sure to tell us the name of the dish, the recipe directions and ingredients, and a short story about the recipe or about your Appalachian heritage!
2. Purchase a Grandmas Gifts Story Book!
If you are interested in purchasing a professionally printed paperback 11.25" x 8.75" book of color pictures and the background story of Grandmas Gifts send a $50 check made out to Grandmas Gifts to our P.O. Box, include the form below, and make note on your form that you would like to receive a paperback book.
